Pretty Little Thieves is doing a very, very good thing. Someone in rhe life was recently lost to Acute Monocytic Leukemia, so she decided to make a difference. For a limited time, she has added a ton of original drawings to her store for only $10-$15 each. The proceeds from the sales will go directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The invitation for Publicis’ year-end party was a t-shirt all employees had to wear. Each t-shirt had the logo and the phrase: “I have been infected”, in reference to the agency’s positioning: “contagious ideas”. At the entrance of the party was a large panel was for guests to confirm their presence.

I was asked by all rights reserved to contribute to a book about female illustrators. They asked for some drawings, combining magazine-photo and drawing, I had already made, and I also made som new ones for them.
Following the notions put forth by Dutch architect Constant’s drawings of Siutationist cities, Julie Mehretu’s animated urbanscapes aim to scrutinize organizing models of city planning applied today. By doing so she rejects the belief that it is feasible to impose a rigid structure on something as fluid and unstable as a city and its inhabitants.
